In Which Harley Makes an Appearance

I was waiting on some toast when the door opened and Harley walked in.  He didn’t have time to stay, becaus he’s “playing some soccer” with teammates before the first game of the season.  I didn’t know there was a season, but I’m glad.  He’s still with this team:

“Bedford” would be Eric Bedford, the soccer coach at their high school alma mater.  Harley’s been playing with most of these guys for years.  I don’t remember the name of the indoor league they’re part of, but they play at the 422 Sports Complex, and I can’t see the games bacause I can’t walk from the parking lot to the indoor arena.  (I guess that’s why he didn’t tell me he had registered for a new season — he knew I couldn’t be there.)

While here, he fed the cats and went to the mailbox for me, and it was good he did — there was something I had to process immediately.  He was patient and waited, then ran it somewhere for me.  He says he’s moving back in tonight after his game.

I should feel great.  Why am I so sad?
